Mike McInteer (Feb 7th,
14th & 21st 2009)
We are
delighted to have Mike McInteer as our Sunday night instructor for
the month of February. Mike started as a country dancer and then
started competing in UCWDC (United Country Western Dance Council)
approximately 15 years ago. He won the Regional Pony Swing
championship for two years and won the Arizona Country
Two-Step championship for one year. Ten years ago, Mike started
dancing West Coast Swing and has competed in couples and Jack and
Jill competitions. He has been teaching for the last four years and
emphasizes the need for strong basics. In addition, Mike wants all
of his students to "not take it so seriously and just have fun". He
is currently teaching in the Phoenix Metro area and can be reached

We will have a special workshop by
Patty Vo on the 28th of February. Patty is an
U.S. Open winner
and a top dancer and competitor from California. She will be doing
an Intermediate to Advance workshop but ALL levels are encouraged to
attend and bring your cameras. All levels will benefit from this
workshop so please plan to attend. The cost is the normal $5.00 for
members and $10.00 for non-members. This price includes your
admission to the Sunday night dance but you must show your current
membership card to get in at the discounted price.
